Our Bus

Our bus is a 2003 Volvo Gemini double decker bus. She was a part of the TFL fleet and spent her working life carrying passengers around London. After she was retired from TFL, she worked for many different private transport companies all over the UK, from Newcastle to Devon. When we were looking to purchase a new bus, she caught our eye, and we decided that after many years of service, she deserved to have some fun and that is when the conversion into a brand new soft play bus began!
She was sent up North for the next 6 months for the conversion to be carried out by the professionals. We have £5 million PLI, and all of our equipment is safety tested. Our soft play bus is fully compliant with British standards BS 8409 and BS EN 1176 and is RoSPA certified (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) that is re-inspected every 12 months. We are the only playbus operator in the area with these certificates. All of our staff are DBS checked and all those certificates can be seen on board our bus!
All electrical instillation has been designed, constructed, inspected and tested in accordance with BS7671
All aspects have been tested and certified by an independent play frame inspection company.
With added heating, air conditioning and fans on board for your child's comfort. Our bus is also fitted with 8 cameras located all around the bus with a viewing screen outside, so you can see how much fun they are having in a safe and secure environment.

About Us

When Volkan met Jo... It was 2010 and Volkan was working as a hotel manager for his family's business in sunny Turkey. Jo was working for a holiday operator and was appointed to be the rep for his hotel. They've been together ever since.
Fast forward to 2018 and they were back living in England with a toddler and Volkan had the fantastic idea for a new business venture, a double decker soft play bus! VoJo's Play Bus was born!
Volkan has worked tirelessly over the past 6 years to build up the business with such dedication and sacrifice.
Their second son was unexpectedly born 6 weeks early and just 2 hours after he was born, Volkan left to attend a party as letting a child down on their special day was not acceptable and they always do whatever they can to ensure that doesn't happen.
Everything was going from strength to strength until March 2020 when suddenly everything just stopped. The pandemic hit them hard, as it did with everybody. They loved being at home spending time with their children and welcomed their third son in 2021.
They have been very fortunate since being able to re open with fantastic customers, many of whom are repeat customers and have been full every weekend and are now usually fully booked 2 months in advance.
2023 saw the arrival of their forth (and final!) child, a daughter. They also brought a new bus to convert...

Absolutely brilliant. A great time was had by all. The kids loved it and my little boy loved it. All the bells and whistles of a soft play party but outside my house with the food and party games in my house after which was just what I wanted. Would highly recommend!

Great morning for my daughters 4th birthday on the Soft Play bus. Great communication and very prompt messaging confirmations and on timings. Quick and easy to set up as the kids were desperate to get on. Very clean and professional with safety rules. Would highly recommend. Get your booking in early though as they get booked up so quickly! Thanks again. Will definitely use again.

Amazing service very responsive - couldn’t do enough to make sure all the kids and adults felt safe happy and not restricted. Everyone had an amazing time at my sons 3rd party including the adults!! The bus was such a hit very clean the music and lights made the atmosphere even more exciting!! Will deff be booking again next year!!Highly recommend thank you very much x
